Centenary Celebration: The First Australian Exhibition of Women's Work 1907 21 October - 9 December 2007 The huge1907 exhibition at the Melbourne Exhibition Buildings highlighted the contribution of women to society and the economy in the context of building a new nation. Over 16,000 exhibits included fine arts, crafts, trades, domestic, musical and sporting achievements.
