The huge1907 exhibition at the Melbourne Exhibition Buildings
highlighted the contribution of women to society and the economy
in the context of building a new nation. Over 16,000 exhibits
included fine arts, crafts, trades, domestic, musical and sporting
achievements.
Curator Kirsten McKay has brought together numerous works
from the 1907 Exhibition, other works by exhibitors, and memorabilia
from the Exhibition.
